North Edgecombe High School is located in Leggett, NC, at the intersection of NC Highways 97 and 33.  It is one of three high schools in the Edgecombe County (North Carolina) Public School system.  Its student population is roughly between 350-400 students annually.

The school has had several notable accomplishments recently, including being named as a 2-time "Best Schools" Bronze Medal winner by US News & World Report, hosting a visit by Senator Richard Burr, and participating in the implementation of a 1:1 laptop programs for all students in the school. 

North Edgecombe High School offers students with opportunities to participate in team athletics, including football, basketball, baseball, volleyball, as well as indoor and outdoor track and field.
